There are many challenges to be faced and just as many “right” ways to proceed. No matter what you choose, if you are informed and feel strengthened by those choices, I can support you.
An empowered birth can happen anywhere - at home, birth center, hospital, in the woods... As births do not always go as planned, I will adapt my role to best fit your needs in the moment. Plans change, my commitment to you will not.
I believe in a collaborative relationship, where the entire birth team, including provider, doula, birthing person and their family can communicate with each other to provide the birthing person with safe and supportive options. I am not a medical provider, therefor do not provide any medical care in my practice. I will always default to the provider for recommendations. I do not speak to medical providers on your behalf, however I believe in your ability ability to make choices or ask questions, and will help you prepare yourself to be your own advocate.
I am here to listen. I am here to witness your strength. I am here to make space for your vulnerability.
My intention is to honor, support, and encourage you in your process, wherever it starts.
